Purpose of the data processing
FORS and SWITCH (coordinators of the hackathon) process the data you provide exclusively to organise and host the hackathon. For this purpose, we use your contact details to register for the hackathon and to keep you updated with information. Your surname, first name, role and company/institutional affiliation can be also used for participant lists, which will be handed over exclusively to the participants of the hackathon. Your idea descriptions are used to organise the event and will be displayed and communicated publicly. The results of the hackathon remain yours.
Transfer of your data
Your provided data may be transferred to third parties, such as further partners of the hackathon. Please be aware that this could include providers of video-conferencing solutions.
Further information
The coordinators of the hackathon will ask for your approval prior to taking photographs or videos of the hackathon. This may include screenshots of entire video conferencing solutions including chat histories (e.g. in Zoom). When consenting, you agree to FORS and SWITCH to use such recordings for reporting and advertising purposes.
